Description
At the LHC hadronic jets which are collimated sprays of hadrons are copiously produced. The energy of these jets is measured by the ATLAS calorimeters and additionally the charged hadrons form tracks in the inner detector. How jets are reconstructed from these signals including combining measurements from the calorimeters and tracker using particle flow techniques will be described. How these jets are calibrated using simulation and in situ measurements will also be covered. Finally the latest methods of identifying jets containing hadronically decaying W and top particles will be discussed.
