== News

Bulk submission support strikes back.There's a proposal to include it into ARC7, with the REST interface. The server will be able to decide how many actual jobs to submit. The client part (how to schedule to undefined targets) is not going to be addressed. Generic handling of input files by a client is also unclear. Just a reminder: ARC7 will support both REST 1.1 and 1.0.

== Future of autotools

The XZ vulnerability exposed the fact that autotools facilitate this kind of intrusions. This may motivate moving to cmake, also since it is more widely known and used these days. Cmake versions on older distributions may not have all the desirable features, so builds for very old systems will be dropped. Work is ongoing towards moving to cmake.

== Release

ARC 6.19 will be released to fix the crashes experienced by some sites (some corner case conditions triggered unexpected behaviour); also some features will be backported from ARC7.
