== News

Balazs and Florido discussed some minor changes to arc.config, so one more meeting is needed despite the freeze; Balazs will call it.

Oxana and David reported that WLCG created a list wlcg-arc-ce-discuss@cern.ch (accessible via https://e-groups.cern.ch/), as a forum for WLCG sysadmins. David's mails still do not get through to ng-core.

Maiken will design a sysadmin feedback collection system after vacations, may use that mailing list for announcements.

Oxana reported on some news from WLCG: 2 new Working Groups are created/proposed, one to develop a common recommendation on Singularity deployment, and another - on authorisation (federated identities vs X509, including central banning and VO roles); there will also be an HPC-dedicated meeting for WLCG on February 2 at CERN. Mattias W. raised a question of recommendations for sites that upgrade their systems regarding a combination of CE and LRMS (e.g. HTCondor + Condor-CE, or SLURM + ARC-CE); inconclusive. David confirms it is not an easy task even within ATLAS. Balazs raises the question of whether Python LRMS should replace the old SLURM back-end. Also inconclusive, needs real deployment to assure others.

Maiken is working on improving release procedures and policies.

== Nightlies status

The build system experiences multiple problems for a while, and while temporary solutions are possible, some permanent solution would be nice, esp. in view of improving testing procedures. One solution would be to use Gitlab and its features, esp. continuous integration. But for the moment (during vacations) any working solution will do.

== Bugs

No changes; bugs that are fixed and released should be tagged as such
