Board meeting 25 November 2019:

* Attending: everyone except Roman

* Justeringsperson = Christian Ohm

* The minutes of the last meeting are approved.

* Partikeldagarna 2019:
- it was a successful meeting, in particular thanks to the local organisers in Linköping who took good care of the logistics!
- the balance was positive this year, almost +6000 SEK, which makes up for the two previous editions that ended with a few kSEK deficit (the main reason we ended up with a bit of money left was that the dinner was a bit cheaper than the original estimate).
- for the next organisers: remember that there is a 10% overhead charged for each bill paid through SFS.

* Next edition: Uppsala University will organise the Nordic Physics Days on August 19-21 so it would be a good idea to have Partikeldagarna 2020 in connection to that big conference, since it is anyway Uppsala’s turn to organise the meeting. Erin and Elin, who will represent Uppsala in the next board, have already been asked and are positive.

=> The proposed dates clash with the school start, which will make it difficult for those with children in that age to attend. Arnaud and Caterina will prepare a poll/survey to find what our community prefers. The duration of 1.5 or 2 days was also discussed but there was no conclusion.

* New Swedish delegates to ACCU, ECFA and IUPAP. One should avoid having the same person in several committees and one should equally distribute responsibilities among the Swedish institutes.

o ACCU: four nominations received, Rebeca Gonzalez Suarez (UU) selected (replacing Sara Strandberg).

o IUPAP C4: three nominations received, Riccardo Catena (Chalmers) selected (replacing Joakim Edsjö).

o IUPAP C11: four nominations received, Roman Pasechnik (LU) selected (replacing Johan Rathsman) on the condition that he would step down from ECFA on January 2021 if he is selected at the IUPAP general assembly to be held in October 2020.

o ECFA: Arnaud Ferrari (UU) selected (replacing Bengt Lund-Jensen).

The funding is still a difficult issue for these committees. Richard Brenner is trying to convince VR to help. We should also contact KVA and ask them to sponsor participation to the conferences (ICRC and ICHEP) under the purview of IUPAP.
