European Universities is a programme initiated and predominantly funded by the EU that is to strengthen the strategic partnerships between universities. The work packages included are mainly about educational collaborations. European Universities are transnational alliances and our alliance include Université Paris-Saclay – coordinator (France), University of Szeged (Hungary), University of Porto (Portugal) and LMU – Ludwig-Maximilian Universität of Munich (Germany). The project is called EUGLOH - European University Alliance for Global Health. We will collaborate on a three-year pilot project and involve all groups within Lund University: students, doctoral students, teaching staff, researchers, administrative officers, technical staff and management. The approach is broad, has an interdisciplinary perspective and all faculties will be involved. One of the project’s focus areas is to strengthen education linked to the large research facilities at the participating universities. Kristina Miolin will present the EUGLOH project and discuss what opportunities there are for the physics department to get involved.
