= News

Mattias did packaging for the latest Fedora and Debian, also for the new Nagios plugins. David found the reason for the xrootd problem. Anders plans to upgrade the build system with new platforms. ARC-CE pre-GDB was quite good. Many softwares report that they can use tokens, but the infrastructure details are not yet sorted out. Initial token always comes from a UI, and in general it is not clear how a flow consistent with Grid will be implemented. A hackathon/workshop involving Aleksandr, Andrea C. and Paul M. would be nice. Balazs and Andrii reviewed the REST interface and updated the document at http://www.nordugrid.org/arc/arc6/tech/rest/rest.html ; a general feeling is that some polishing is still needed, particularly with regards to bulk submission, a meeting is planned. A mail to EGIIS admins is being drafted with instructions how to switch to ARCHERY, but this needs a new archery-management tool which is not yet released. Will merge after 6.4.1 is tagged, or if it gets delayed, a branch for 6.4.1 will be created and the tool will be merged into master.

= Release

Fix for #3889 should be released with 6.4.1, as well as the xrootd fix.

Aleksandr and David is on resolving the xrootd (rather SRM) problem.

We stick to our express release policy but this time we allow an exception for the PBS bug to please a newly migrated site.

Maiken tags 6.4.1 as son as the xrootd is resolved.
