Physics demonstrations have a long history in physics education, and I have been involved with lecture demonstrations at the University of Oregon for more than 35 years. I will give a brief overview of displaying Physics in lectures; the history and significance of demonstrations in physics education, and recent innovations in equipment and presentation. Included will be a description of instructional support at the University of Oregon and information regarding pedagogical ideas for lecture demonstrations and instructional laboratories currently discussed in physics education circles. Within the presentation will be samples of lecture demonstrations and a lab that I have assembled for use at Lund University.

Stanley Micklavzina received an Honoris Causa promotion from Lund University in May 2019 and is currently a visiting faculty member until June 2020.
