== News

Debian deploy improvements in GitLab are ongoing. There's also work on arcctl datastaging extension and improvement.
Validator re-write is done and can be merged.
ATLAS discusses procedures for moving from VOMS to IAM: VOMS extensions will be fetched from IAM. ARC should support it, but needs testing.
REST interface is now implemented as per specifications, which were updated a bit in the process. Some test notes are needed, for refererence (in GitLab Wiki). Can be released with the minor release and reported to Condor.
WLCG tokens have 3 different scopes (compute.create/modify/cancel), while Condor merged them into one; ARC does not distinguish between those either (ARC supports OIDC, not OAuth2).
ARC and Tier1 were very briefly presented at the Swedish BigScience meeting.

== Release

REST will be in 6.9 as a preview, but it has no own configuration, being turned on by WS automatically, so the client may pick up interface at random even when not intended. Tests are needed to see what happens.

New validator should also be in 6.9, some testing is also needed.

Tentative timeline: end-November.
