== News

NORDUNet and SNIC directors quit. AuthZ workshop is ongoing. New platforms are added (new Ubuntu and Fedora). Debian test cluster is not fully ready yet; see more under release.

== Release

nothing new on vfork testing yet, some NT1 sites will be asked to test nightlies. A release issue in Gitlab is opened. Only one bug is fixed, maybe some other merges need post-factum bug reports. A patch from Github for PBS provider will be included. Unclear whether it is the patch submitted by NIKHEF (would be good to include). Code freeze is proposed for next Monday, and release by the end of the week.

Patch for optimising data staging loop should also be included (if it is ready), has implications on data staging API.

The reported in GGUS #154635 (and in the weekly bug list) shortcomings regarding old protocols and cyphers etc may not even be possible/useful configure in ARC, rather, system settings are inherited. To be discussed what is better, perhaps ARC should be made more configurable. Not urgent for this release anyway, but needs to be fixed (server audit fails with an F).

== Bugs

* GGUS #154635 will be converted to a Bugzilla bug. The code can be changed in no time, but the best is to make this configurable, also aware of system defaults.
