2021-05-25 - Board meeting

• Board made progress on Nordic Physics Days particle & astroparticle physics parallel sessions. 

  • Chair (Caterina) is taking care of organizing the sessions overall, and two reviewers from our session have volunteered (Sten, David). 

  • Caterina sent e-mail to group leaders in ATLAS to ask if they have a name for an ATLAS invited talk complementing the CMS invited talk [no reply → only CMS talk as invited talk]

• Caterina/Elin will follow up on reception of VR letter, no official acknowledgment or answer yet. 

• Göteborg will host Partikeldagarna 2021, details (e.g. online/in person) will be discussed at the next meeting 

• Discussed the names of the board members who want to stay / step down

  • In-person or electronic vote during Partikeldagarna 2021

  • For next meeting, Caterina will propose valberedningen (candidate search)

• Spaatind 2022

  • Caterina made a preliminary booking with the Spaatind hotel for 2-7/01/2021

    • No availability for Skeikampen

  • Caterina/Sten sent e-mail to ATLAS Sweden seniors to find volunteers who can put together the scientific program [no answers]

  • Option to postpone 2022 due to uncertainty will be discussed at the next meeting
