Abstract: " The energy system is transforming rapidly, which will call for a plethora of means of securing sustainability, affordability, and security of supply. The three items are normally referred to as the energy trilemma, and loads of research activities and high-TRL industry R&D are ongoing. One important means is grid firming, where energy storage is a key enabler for moving power in time. The talk will focus on hydrogen, derivative fuels, and gas turbine based zero-emission plants. "

Magnus Genrup has worked in gas turbines and turbomachinery for 30 years, both in ABB, Alstom, and Siemens and since -08 at the Department of Energy Sciences at LTH.
