Light in the service of mankind – from the cosmic to the nanoscale World-leading scientists discuss the generation and applications of light, in a meeting commemorating the 275 year anniversary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The year 2015 is appointed “the International Year of Light” aiming to raise awareness of the achievements of light science and its applications, and its importance to humankind.
The event is free of charge and open to the public but registration is required for all participants. (Registration form is found further down at this website). Please note that registration is binding.
World-leading scientists discuss the generation and applications of light, in a meeting commemorating the 275 year anniversary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The symposium will consist of four sessions; “light – generation”, “light – applications”, “nano – novel materials” and “nanoelectronics, nanobiology and nonophotonics”. Tentative programme can be downloaded from the menu to the right. More information will be published at this website in due time.
