<p>Skype is getting discontinued by Microsoft, alternatives are being discussed. Key sought functionalities: archive of messages, joining w/o invitation (a forum). Inconclusive, no obvious replacement exists.</p>

<p>ARC7 workshop:&nbsp;May 22 - 23, possibly at the NORDUnet premises or downtown Copenhagen.</p>

<p>Tokens: extraction of VO info from tokens is almost done, see bug #4236. Alternatively, sites can make use of authtokenmap to configure own mapping of arbitrary token attributes to accounting groups. Description in the documentation is rather terse, can be expanded, especially the example.</p>

<p>== Bugs</p>

<p>* Bug 4238 on timeouts needs to be addressed, reasons for timeouts in validation are unclear, but everybody reports the issue. Validation can skip ntp synchronisation if it takes too long, as it is not ARC-specific. A warning might be sufficient. Needs to be ported to ARC6 as well.<br>
* Bug 4237 needs investigation as well, unclear whether it applies to ARC7.</p>

<p>If everything is fixed soon enough, code freeze can be on March 14, followed by branch reorganisation on March 17, final cross-check on March 18, and release coming soon after.</p>
