News
-----

Aleksander was working on various bugs. Bug 3477 was moved to David.

David: Atlas jamboree last week, nothing special about CEs or ARC.

Balazs:

-Discovered the complete non-existence of EMI-ES interface description of ARC CE. The sysadmin guide has lots of confusing info about various WS interfaces, their ARC extensions, schemas, mappings but all those are for BES, or Extended BES. Nothing is about EMI-ES. Furthermore, the schemas, wsdl is not distributed with our code either.

Because it was agreed that EMI-ES will be the only WS interface of ARC, therefore it must be properly described as part of the ARC tech documentation.

ACTION: Aleksandr will commit to svn the schema files, wsdl he was actually using in implementing EMI-ES in ARC.

-The inteface question came up because Iana (Ukranian student) wants to run performance test against ARC CE using the JMETER framework (http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/build-ws-test-plan.html). For this she needs the ARC WS interface description. She also needs a server to test again. David got the excellent idea of what if we ask KOsice, Marek. After all, they are in the same town, even university :)

Bugs
-----

-3504:

it was decided to close the bug with  "fix was provided by external package"

-3522: Aleksandr mentions this bug. For the fix, he had to introduce a non-compatible change regarding how the proxies are treated: "job.id.proxy is not supposed to contain delegated proxy anymore" backward incompatible change.  He implemented the changes in a dedicated branch. Now he wants to merge it back to trunk.

ACTION: Aleksandr will send email to discuss explaining the new way of handling proxies via delegation.

-3477: This is the bug that Aleksandr reassigned to David. Turns out draining a session dir is only possible if there is another "active" sessiondir available in the system.
suggestion: there must be an error message in case of not available "alternative" session dir during draining process.

Configuration changes
---------------------

David asks who would assign blocks to coders. Balazs tells that he is not yet finished with the clean restructuring of the arc.conf.reference and that the idea was that Florido would go through the parsers then he and Florido would come with the assignments. Unfortunately Florido is on vacation.

Once the new proposed arc.conf.refernence is availabl (hopefully this week), it will be posted to discuss for feedback. We need to see what Ulf says before we start any code change :)

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
