Present: Balazs, Mattias, Anders, Aleksandr, Jon, David, Oxana

== News

Mattias tries to fix ATLAS compilation at Umea (again), sent a patch to ATLAS, might even work, eventually. No progress w.r.t. arc.conf yet.

Balazs was helping setting up IBERGRID GIIS. Read GEANT white paper on comparison of AAI for research, has a summary table of different technologies.

Anders started builds for Ubuntu 16.04; certificates repo is properly signed (unlike the IGTF one).

Aleksandr working on the job proxy issue, trying sqlite.

David reports that the ACIX component that runs on the CE was changed to produce a dump of urls in the cache. Then an external tool (written by Vincent) compares dumps to find files added and removed from the cache and sends messages to Rucio to add or remove replicas from its catalog. This external tool is not distributed with ARC 5.1 but is found in the scripts area of SVN.
David also gave a talk about aCT at the ATLAS distributed computing meeting.

== Changing proxy handling

To converge WS and GridFTP delegations, full proxy is not in a file corresponding to job 1:1 any more, rendering all ENV/PROXY RTEs non-functional which in turn will lead to massive failures upon upgrade, which is not good for a minor release. Also, in practice it means interface changes, if control directory is identified with an interface.

Options to solve the problem are:
1. rollback
2. keep proxy copies in job.@.proxy
3. Make sysadmins treat delegation seriously

Option 3 requires a major release, option 1 will be not an easy exercise, option 2 is preferred for many reasons. Aleksandr discovered ENV/PROXY and estimates it'll take a week to implement option 2 and keep ENV/PROXY working.

In a major release a proxy should be made available on the WN without ENV/PROXY: there should be a configuration option in arc.conf or the job description to make the proxy available instead of using the RTE.

== Release

The release is postponed until the proxy issue is solved and tested, probably until May 13.

== Bugs

No much changes, nothing to discuss.

== A.O.B.

Balazs will start populating the Kosice tech meeting schedule (aCT by David, delegations by Aleksandr, elastic search by Petter).
