Mattias: we really need to fix systemd.unit files for services, otherwise we will be kicked out from Fedora. Mattias started doing it for infosys, but nobody uses it since nothing else has it. It can be used by Debian as well, but it is not required by them. There's a bug report on it (2503), but so far had a low priority. Bug 2503 is made P1/major. Anders suggests to take the startup script of A-REX and make a most simple script out of it. Would be nice to have it before the next release (i.e., by the end of the week or so).
Anders: the build system was failing for a while for no known reason (build jobs won't be started by A-REX, the latter needed a periodic restart), but now he switched to sqlite and it so far works.
Jon: continues release management training, ready for the next release.
David: tested Aleksandr's conversion script on a test CE, so far works; didn't try on a real CE. Much discussion at CERN on transfer protocols, xrootd is still insecure, esp. for writing. GridFTP is undead.
Aleksandr: conversion script is ready; working on bugs.
Oxana: synchronised all the documents and translations, discussed excessive logging bug with Florido. Discovered (with David's help) that US HPC centers are getting very enthusiastic about using GridFTP via Globus Online.
== Release status
Almost all commits are in. Even with the db converter it is still a bigfix release, since absence of a converter can be (and should be) reported as a bug.
Oxana will make a release notes template for the bugfix release.
Coredump tool should have a man page (converter already does), according to some repository criteria (lintian spits warnings), and both should be mentioned in the sysadmin guide.
Tag deadline is shifted to Monday August 15, pending Mattias' scripts.

* 3468: should be closed as fixed, and replaced with a different bug

Oxana is getting seriously worried about the scalability, wants to find manpower to do something about it, like a restructuring of the control dir and/or replacing it with a database.
Starting from August 30 the meetings will be on Tuesdays (same time, 14:00).
