Issues of doctoral student writing and publication at LTH, Docent Anders Ahlberg, Engineering Education LTH (FU-studierektorsgruppen LTH)
Abstract: Thesis-writing is obviously central to the PhD degree. But, is independent academic writing truly integrated in our doctoral education? What does it take to become a co-author of a paper? Do we treat student manuscript writers as students, or as fellow co-authors? And how do we establish thesis-requirements for doctoral defences in relation to the available PhD completion time of 4 years? These are some issues that will be discussed in the seminar.
