1) follow up on TODOs

Martin: done, will commit the defaults and the mandatory variables

Florido: osfamily, osname, osversion semantics: he'll look into that,

2) Andrii's DNS-Index  and the arc.conf (or rather what shall happen to EGIS subblocks?)

postponed, we need Mattias.

ARCHERY is (almost) ready for he next major release.

It will be shipped with grid monitor update.

3) block presedence, which block overwrites which?

DECISION:

- parameters in every [config block] overwrites [common]

- [queue] overwrites [cluster]

- [infosys/glue2] may overwrite [cluster] and [queue] (to be checked)

- [queue] and [cluster] overwrites [lrms]

To be checked (David):

- data blocks

4) authorizedvo, per-queue authgroup

5) merging arex/ws/cache  and ws/candypond ?

ws/casche is part of arex, candypond is a separate service.

decision: move candypond under arex (as code).  David double checks if this change will result in any config changes. until then we assume two separate blocks as it is today: [arex/ws/cache] and [arex/ws/candypond]

7) spaces

rule 1: DECISION:  (spaces)option(spaces)=(spaces)values with optional space inside (spaces)  AND values may contain space itlself

rule 2: DECISION: [blockname:(any space)some name here with space within(anyspace)]

8) [arc/ganglia]

currently we have [arex/ganglia] for the jobs

proposals so far: [monitoring] and [monitoring/ganglia]

9)  [acix/cacheserver] [acix/indexserver] is not following block logic, rename as [asixsscanner] ?

DECICION: [acix-scanner] [acix-index]

10) use some other way of indicating which variable is mandatory? like an asterix?

proposal something like 

hostname (mandatory) - The text of the description bla bla
