== News

CRIC infosys is still in works, rquirement collection is difficult. AAI: research communities may be looking for a 3rd party solution (Internet2 conference has this on the program). In a similar vein, Condor is starting SciTokens project (https://scitokens.org/), making use of OAuth2. Globus Open Source spin-off has a community now, name is still a challenge; no-one is interested in GRAM, but GSI is in demand. Local-plugin progresses well, though name and brief description (with a figure) is yet to be fixed.

== Release and priorities

5.4.1 is out. Git workflow meeting is a priority, best would be to have it face-to-face in Slovenia. The proposed dates are November 21-24 (not sooner), Andrej should confirm by October 20.

6.0.0 preparations are the priority. The configuration re-structuring branch is a good candidate to be renamed 6_0, since it has everything that is in trunk, except of the event-driven processing. Aleksandr says that event-driven branch is in synch with arc-conf one, so it is even a better candidate for the 6_0 branch. REST interface is probably also there (to be checked). It is unclear whether the thread congestion issue with data staging is addressed, and if so - where.

*TODO*: event-driven branch is proposed to become 6_0, everybody must check whether it contains al their relevant parts (esp. David, Martin). Common defaults, python-LRMS etc. 

Wiki page for the 6.0.0 at http://wiki.nordugrid.org/wiki/Preparation_major_release_2017 should be made more prominent, and record the status and plans for different components, including removal plans. Documentation will also need to be rewritten, especially the configuration parts.

Clean-up needs to be done again, there are still things like Unicore support lurking in corners.
