2nd meeting, Friday 11 February 2022, 10.00-12.00 on Zoom (link)

On the agenda we have in addition to further discussions and ideas also the plan for actually starting the work of collecting information. We should decide on the scope of questions and the first interview actions.

Please register.

1st meeting Kick-off 10/12-2021 see agenda in PDF below.

In a few different contexts we have discussed how we, researchers at LU, can improve the possibility and capability to provide solutions, methods, equipment and ideas on aspects supporting the build-up and development of the large facilities. Acknowledging that there is much more for LU to provide beyond the important use of the facilities.

A project has been outlined, with the support from LU central, the science faculty and LTH, to investigate experiences at LU and in Sweden, how other organisations manage their contributions, the environment around them and then propose a viable solution for LU.

  • What experience do we have at LU?
  • How does the process work in other organisations and in other countries, such as STFC or Helmholtz?
  • What is needed to improve and increase our contributions?

We believe that some kind of platform is necessary at LU to support the research groups, but this is to be outlined in the study.

We would like you to join us in the study. We will need input from research groups and departments at LU, but first we also need input on the process: who to approach and what questions to ask. Then performing the data collection, also from international sources, followed by analysing the experience. From here we want to discuss a solution that could be implemented at LU.

Of course, we would like to see you work with us all the way, but if you only are available for selected parts, we will be happy with that too.

Sverker Werin and Anders J Johansson

Also in the initial study group: Hanno Perry, Caterina Doglioni, David Silvermyr, Per Runeson, Tommy Nylander, Carlos Martins

With the support from: Martin Stankovski and Lennart Gisselsson
