Description
Heavy neutral leptons (also known as "sterile neutrinos") are hypothetical particles that could resolve many beyond-the-Standard-Model phenomena: mediate neutrino masses and oscillations, explain the matter antimatter asymmetry of the Universe, and provide a dark matter candidate. In this talk I will review the recent theoretical developments as well as the status of experimental searches for heavy neutral leptons.
