Travel

Although Lund is in Sweden, the best option is to fly to Copenhagen (CPH) and take a train from Copenhagen airport to Lund C (goes every 20 min). Train tickets are best bought from the vending machines at the airport (look for signs saying "Tickets to Sweden"). Tickets are NOT sold on board the train, one has to buy them in advance.

It is also possible to fly to Malmö Sturup (MMX), but it has no direct public transport connection to Lund anymore, so one will have to take a bus to Malmö and then a commuter train to Lund. Alternatively, a taxi is a faster option, albeit a costly one: always ask for the fixed price before boarding, it should be between 450:- and 600:- Swedish Krona, and the ride is ca 30 min. Pre-booking a taxi is always a good idea.

Flying via Stockholm (ARN or BMA) is also a possibility, but it implies a lengthy train travel from Stockholm downtown, or a domestic connection to Malmö (see above). One can also fly to Gothenburg (GOT), and take a train from Gothenburg downtown to Lund.

Traveling from Europe by train via Copenhagen is quite straightforward, though may imply multiple changes. From Norway, a train ride via Gothenburg is also a good option. A fun way from Oslo is to take a ferry to Copenhagen and then a train to Lund. From Germany (Travemünde or Rostock) or Poland (Swinoujscie), one can take a ferry to Trelleborg and then a commuter train to Lund.

There are plenty of hotels in Lund, and it being a small town, all are in a walking distance to the meeting venue.
