The Trends in Magnetism conference aims to bring together researchers working with magnetism and magnetic materials from a variety of scientific fields. After a successful event in Örebro in 2023, this year's edition will be held in Lund, at Lund University's Physics department.
The goal of this event is to further develop the Swedish community of magnetism research in all its forms and to bring together scientists from many different subjects. Students, early-career scientists, and experienced professionals can all benefit from this networking.
The conference will be held June 10-14, with the scientific program starting on Monday after lunch and ending on Friday before lunch.
Participation in the conference is free. We are planning to have a conference dinner (participation optional) for which there will be a fee, more information on that will follow later.
Registration and submission of abstracts for posters is via the Registration tab on the left. Submission of contributed talks is now closed.
Hotels
Various hotels are available in Lund. As organizers, we have not made specific arrangements with hotels, and participants should book their own accommodation. If you have any questions regarding accommodation, please let us know.
How to get here
The Physics Department is within walking distance of the train station (Lund C) and city centre. Another option is to take City Bus 7 to Lund Fysiologen, the bus stop is exactly in front of Physics Department.
The conference will take place mostly in Lecture Hall A (red dot on map) in Fysicum, with the exception of Wednesday June 12, when we will be in Lundmarksalen in the Astronomy building (green dot on map), just across the street.
From Copenhagen and Copenhagen airport, there are frequent local trains to Lund C, for more information see Skånetrafiken. In addition, there are long-distance trains running from Gothenburg and Stockholm. From Germany, travel options include regular trains from Hamburg to Copenhagen, night trains from Hamburg or Berlin, the (car) ferry Travemünde-Trelleborg, long-distance busses as well as flights (Copenhagen or Malmö Airport).
